I hear you O scribes , I have been pushing on in between other jobs.
The dial posts are fitted to the front plate.

The dial feet are dropped into the holes in the posts.
And the hour wheel is raised with a spacer so it is just above the level of the dial feet.

A small amount of epoxy is put on the dial feet, and the dial is aligned with the hour wheel and frame.

With a pair of hands it might just look like a clock.

Getting down the work load now the hands are half way made, the minute hand has to have a 3.5mm square hole to match the end of the pipe.

Also saves on build time Tom, I can pull the works out without removing the dial,for sizing the pipes and fitting the hands this is a big plus.

Its a clock at last, only the strike on the hour and the drive weight to do.

Mill a slot in the end of a piece of unknown steel bar,
