Hi david
Brain out of gear yesterday
Number of teeth is 32 / cm Not / in.
Just put it down to old age.
Brian.
I can just hear the soft "click click " now of that clockworks.
Clocks always are a facinating mechanism.
After a few days when its just been to cold to stand in the shop its back to making chips.
Now having got the indexing sorted and the cutter proven. its on with the 32 tooth reverse hour wheel.
Using the 80 tooth change wheel to index the mandrel. two adjacent teeth are cut, until the curves at the tip just touch. The vertical slide is then locked, and the remaining teeth cut at full depth.

Great pics, thanks for posting this build.
Cold? In Sicily? You have to realize Brian, the many of us are from the Midwest and Canada and your weather this time of year seems downright balmy.
Nice looking gear you've turned out though, despite the weather conditions.
