I recently made a square collet holder

Bore the taper then put some threads on it tomorrow

The hole is there in case i need to machine a hex on the end of a long bar
I bored it half way then broke in to it from the nose end

Got my collet holder finished

I see you did some more chamfering

So would i
I used my square one to make a chuck key
The hex one will be good for one off bolt heads ect
Once it is set up in a mill vice you simply turn it over to put flats on to round bar
I will post some pictures of it in action

Very handy items those collet blocks. Nice job on making yours. They should provide you years of service.
