My neighbor needed some 2 5/8" od x 1/4" thick washers for his tractor project. So i sheared some plate into the best circle i could then drilled and bolted it to my arbor and turned it to size. Simple arbor just has some set screws tapped into the ends. I have a box full of them for what ever project i am doing...Bob
I always loved big thick washers like that, no idea why, i guess cause they just seem heavy duty or?
Where are the set screws you mention?

The set screws are what holds the washer for turning. I could have turned down the bar stock and threaded it for a nut to hold the plate but this arbor just used 2 long set screws tapped into it. Then the arbor is placed in the chuck and the plate is bolted onto the arbor and held with a live center...Bob
Here are some of my threaded and turned arbors...Bob
