Wow!! Amazing find!!!
That chance seldom ever happens to anybody, talk about luck!!
Someone must have been doing some armature rebuilding at one time, as that definetly is for undercutting the mica as posted.
Again, congratulations on being in the right place at the right time!!
Thanks and Ill take lots of pics but it would be nice to see if their is anything that is missing or that is extra... and ill keep you all posted when I get to it but it has been put on my to do list asap :) I live in a very small town where when you fart on one end of town people know what you ate on the other end so everyone looks out for one another (most the time) and he knew this was a hobby of mine but I don't know if he knew much about it the man is in his 70's and has tons and tons of stuff hes a hoarder big time from what i understand he would clean out barns and houses when people passed away or if they just wanted things cleans up and he took everything home lol

A friend of mine use to do that until the authorities caught up with him and put him in the big house Big Grin

I agree with Ed - take lots of pictures (an easy way to create your own exploded diagrams). Take several from different angles, as you can never have too many pics. I rebuilt an old lathe from the 1890's and wouldn't have been able to do it without a bunch of pics. I have the full drawings for my mill but I'm still taking pics, as they are often much simpler to work from.

I look forward to seeing the whole process unfold...
Nothing wrong with collecting all kinds of stuff, (the stuff others call junk,) after all your'e just building up your assets.
Awesome find. Nice small lathe and the armature undercutter is a nice item as well. I have one set up to run on my 14" lathe.

They can be used for milling slots in steel with the right blades and a lot of patience, they are not very high powered, LOL
