I bough a book from http://www.shopoutfitters.com and some of the ideas are from it and some are mine. I have a scroller from shop outfitters but i made it powered because i needed to make lots of scrolls in a day. I will post some pics of it and my twister...Bob
Here is my powered scroller. 60:1 gearbox and a 3/4 hp motor 1,000 inch lbs of torque I use the same setup to power my slip roll as well as my train track roller and my small ring former...Bob
Here is how i bend the big hoops for the shepherd hooks. I got some 7 7/8" cutouts from the local weld shop as well as smaller ones for a variety then drill a 5/8" hole in the center. The bender is just a 59 HF bender. I do 99% of my bending on top of the frame so you can see plus remove the parts easier. I use use long 5/8" bolts for the pins. They are cheap and if they bend i just get more...Bob
My Tennsmith was hand powered slip roll using the same gearbox/motor setup. Cranking by hand didn't get it anymore. Some of the 14ga parts i roll for my work since they don't have one...Bob

The biggest hurdle is i need a paint shop and until that day i don't have much desire Steel prices got real high a few years ago but they have come down a little...Bob

I need to do some clean up and repairs on my front porch railings. What paint do you recommend for wrought iron?

Thanks.
