Hi Ed , those shots were with tripod on auto setting so I dont know why they came out so bad, I wanted to hang the towel up , as the backdrop was so cluttered but the light was too bright and bland there I think so I will try better lighting next photos. I gave up a long time ago taking shots without a tripod lol.
Cheers Mick.
Mick,
That's good that you have a tripod. Taking another look at the pictures it appears the camera is back focusing. The focus appears to be on the towel rather than on the carving. If you can set your camera for center spot focusing I think you'd have better luck.
Ed
Words fail me
You have captured your dog very well

Daren, you've been spending too much time in front of the bathroom mirror.
well to get them to that profile he must of had a good hand full
A little bit more done to the dog carving but been on with the lathe so just tinkered and put in some basic muscle tones, its amazing how much better it looks as detail goes in.
I hope to get more done later in the week.
A couple of people that have seen the photos but not the carving seem to think its about 18 inches long , its actually only say 5-6 inches long and about 4 inches tall.
Cheers Mick.
P.S the balls are not finished yet either lads
Great job Mick
