hi guys
i am looking to buy a COLCHESTER BANTAM LATHE it is being sold with standard imperial thread cutting gears would anyone know what transision gears i would need to cut metric threads

Ian, firstly Smiley-signs046

And secondly, the only transition gear I know of would be a 127 tooth gear but I don't know what metric pitches the transitioned TPI settings would produce. Someday I may have to do the math but so far any metric threading has been done on my 16x60 which has both metric and inch pitches on its threading charts.

Which version of the Bantam is it?

I think it would be the MK1 800 RPM with 30" centers.
I am just looking at it as the lathe I have is 100 years old and has no metric it's a Lang of Jonstone Glasgow.
Hi
Ian
