Was the pocketing on the second part all done manually on that Bridgeport-like machine?

Yeah, it was all on a manual mill, I'm too old school, not smart like those CNC guys! I know these are really "project" parts, but since they were a little more intricate than the usual "square it, drill it, tap it" parts, I would post them. Thanks for the compliments!
Good work for sure but, I'm still curious as to what it's for?
I guess I was fortunate enough to work in a shop where I could ask what it was for in order to suggest a possibly better (easier) way.

We can ask and find out if we have a need to. I did find out the t-slot in the first part was for some sort of adjustment to slide in. We do get to see the machine while it's being built and during run off. We get to see what parts we made working in the machine, which is pretty cool.
