Fantastic stuff Greg. do you plan to be winching it overland?
It will get pulled out onto a beach for the winter, but expect we'll do that with a tractor
Did you really tow that thing with your canoe?
The one that has a 60 horse on it.
Some very sad news to report. Dr William Burwell, whom I've know most of my life and am proud to say was a great friend and confidant passed away yesterday. He was the one who came up with the crazy idea of building this and provided most of the financing. Though he never actually got to ride on her, he was at least with me in my boat as she made her maiden voyage. The expression on his face when the paddles started turning and she began to move was priceless and will be remembered forever.
We lay him to rest in a couple of days, today we put the Alice May to rest for the winter.

Sorry to hear that Greg. My condolences.
Very sad, my condolences to you and your friends.

Ed
Likewise my condolences.  Maybe it would be fitting to name it after him.
Very sorry for your loss Greg. Great that he got to see that project to completion.
I've been lurking around here for a while, and have been following this project with great interest. I remember seeing that alligator in Algonquin about 20 years ago. Very cool project. Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Unfortunate that he never got a ride, but at least he got to see it to completion. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful piece of the province you live in Greg. I've been fishing up in that area for years, and hope one day to have my own piece of land up that way.
