Another good thing is they (USPS) aren't likely to damage the contents being that it's all thick steel. It looks like they did a great job of packing it all in there too.
Ed, how is the surface on the inside of the angle iron with the mill scale? I'm wondering if it might be a good idea to smooth it up a little with a flap disc before putting it together?

It's the standard hot rolled mill scale so I think you're right. It'll need some TLC prior to assembly.
