hi all just a little post I got this micrometre today at the boot sale in all it looks worse than it is first thing  striped out the box and gave it all a good scrub up cleaned all the light rust off with wire wool then a dunk in me ultrasonic tank then gave them a buff up with brasso then sum light oil  as good as new and the cost of the micrometre £6 right picks   
WOW! Looks like new!
Graemlin   Top class refurb Bob , what ever you used on that light blue box internals has sure done the job Drool  another as new object leaves the production line Big Grin

What an amazing transformation! I want to know how you reconditioned the formed pieces that have the shapes moulded in to fit the tool(s). Are those pieces made of a polystyrene plastic and coated with some kind of spray-on flocking? Whatever the case (no pun intended), that looks PERFECT in the photos!

hi the inerds have that spray on flock in sum cases its stuck on withe water baste glue but in this cace its not so i just 
let it soke in a buket of hot water  with sope pawder in it
