So you decided to buy one instead of making your own? I usually find I can make my own stuff for not much more than double what it would have cost to buy.

Hi Pete,
I quite like making things but sometimes it becomes tedious if I can't get the materials I want, or to make something needs some sort of special technique that I don't know or feel inclined to learn.
Like casting, I won't do casting because it is something I don't particularly want to do. For me there is a limit what I will do and what I won't do it is just a choice that's all.
Some on here like to buy old machines and refurbish them - that activity doesn't interest me so it is something I don't do.
We are all different so we make different choices via different reasons.
Costs do come into but it is not always the prime motivation.
Like my log splitter, I'm building it because I want to no other reason.
