OK, back to seriousness now. Goggling " diy power draw bars" and looking at the numerous pictures that came up, I realized that I'll need to change the base design of the drawbar since my mill will be a step pulley mill and has stuff sticking up where the base of the drawbar needs to mount. The pictures I saw used three large spacers to elevate the base above the "stuff". I'll have to wait until the mill arrives to come up with a final solution though.  Chin

I'll start my own power drawbar thread so I don't hijack Mike's. Blush

No problem hyjacking Ed, but I understand you wanting to start a thread of your own. I will keep my eyes open for it. Sorry I can't be of more help with the TS version of the mill.

Mike.
Mike,

Your design is still useful for my mill. I don't see any of the dimensions needing to change. All I should need to do is add the spacers to elevate the base above the "stuff" and go with a deep well socket or make an extension for the socket. So when you get some time I could use the length of the guide rods you used. No rush, I still have six weeks until the arrival of the mill.

Ed, the .625" guide rods that the upper plate slides up and down on are 8" long.

Mike.

Thanks Mike. That's about what I estimated they would be.
