Lots to learn but I'm really looking forward to it.

Looks great Shawn. Let us know how that Everlast machine works out for you. I've been looking at buying one too.

John
Very nice Shawn.

With all of those knobs, that must be an inverter welder. We'll expect to see some perfect "roll of dimes" welds before too long.  Big Grin

Well Shawn, you certainly didn't handicap yourself with that rig. Very nice!   Smiley-eatdrink004

Step #2 )  Get yourself a "tig finger" from Jody over at the weldmonger store. You'll be glad you did.   Happyyes
#1 on that. Jody has some really good basic TIG welding technique videos. One of the early learning curve challenges is figuring out how much voltage to use. He's got some good rules of thumb.
Thanks guys, I have been watching Jody's videos plus a ton of others for years now. I'm excited to finally be able to weld aluminium and stainless. I'm going to really have to work at it though my stack of dimes look ain't quite there yet, looks more like loose change : ) I will order a tig finger asap, looks like a mandatory bit of kit.

Cheers
Shawn
Not mandatory but nice. Your local welding supply/shop (LWS) has a similar thing which is a paper-back book-sized pad You hook a finger through it and it reflects a lot of the heat. Not as convenient, though.
