Actually Tom did mention them in post #16 of this thread. Smile

LOL, nice try!

He's not making much of anything lately. Mostly, reading Zane Grey on his Nook E-reader. We haven't got the heat treat capability to make hardened ones, though I'd make soft ones easily.
As long as he is happy in whatever he is doing. Send him my regards.

I could heat treat but then I'd have to send them back to you for grinding. probably easier to buy some I guess...
I have many different sizes and configurations of parallels, I have 2 or 3 sets of the some of the same sizes and at times have needed them.
I usally use 1/8 parallels. ive used strapping, foam, grease, etc to hold them in position. I have a spring set that i use more than anything to support the parallels. My favorite parallels are a 1/16 thick power hacksaw blabe that i ground in the surface grinder. Took all the teeth off, flipped em over and lightly ground the other side. I have used them for 28 years. I actually ground two sets at once so all four are the same height.
Wow, this is a moldy oldie.

I have a set of the wavy parallels, but rarely use them. They don't support thin parts evenly and when you hammer the parts down, they can distort. Unfortunately, I found that out the hard way.

I'll have you know that my threads never perish or grow mould, they age gracefully!
