Finally getting some time to get the drill press set up. Need to get some No 4 Morse taper sleeves to reduce down to my drill bits. I see hardened and ground as well as soft sleeves offered. Think the sleeves I have for the lathe are hardened, but also have some old #3 ones which are dinged up, guessing they're soft.
Which should I get and why.

Thanks
I would think i would want hardened ones ,if you like me and all ways dinging and dropping them. would be very easy to get a high spot ,and you know what that means. thats when i get a slip and then i tear up the inside taper.

KBC tools had a sale last week, so I ordered the hardened ones. The drill press uses the tang to ensure you don't get slip. The Hardinge lathe on the other hand doesn't use the tang.
