Very nice Doc - I love it :)
Not too happy about where you plan to place your auxiliary spark gap though. It will generate heat and if enclosed bad things might happen before you realise it and start a fire. I'd place it outside and visible.

Since the video I have come to pretty much the same conclusion and ame going to put it out where it is visible so I can see whats going on. Thanks for the heads up!

No thats a coil I designed and works off of 2 hall effect sensors. I do plan on rebuilding (or trying to) a model T coil. Plus wind some more coils and try and get the voltage it will throw a good spark down to 2 to 3 volts.
