Well I'm not sure one way or another. I would be concerned about the life span of the motor given its location and exposure to sanding/grinding debris.
Awwww! You had my hopes up there for a second Ed. I saw "$20 Miniature Belt Sander" and was thinking it was one of the little hand held pneumatic belt sanders.
They suck. Plain and simple.
I have a friend who bought one for the makerspace. Waste of money.
No power to sand more than soft wood, unless you want to spend a silly amount of time to do anything. I believe you could stop them with a finger if you had hard callouses.
Hate to burst any bubbles, but the package of belts is $20. The actual machine is $80. See where there's a box around "10 X MATCHING STRIP (330*30)", that's the belts. Now click the text below that, "POLISHING MACHINE".
Tricky little B******s wonder how many people they'll pull in who expect to get the machine for 20$
