So. I was sweeping out what is left of the trunk on my Starfire the other day and something caught my eye and my CDO kicked in (It's like OCD but the letters are in the correct order). The beadrolling isn't symmetrical!!! The funky, stretched out letter B shape on the passenger side is 2 inches longer than than its driver's side counterpart and there is an additional set of high spots on the driver's side to make up for it. If my idea for stamping out a new trunk pan works, they'll match when I am done with it. But why wouldn't they be symmetrical? For some reason it won't let me attach the other photo but you get the point. The extra ridge is just beyond the end of the tape measure.

It could be the file size of the other photo is the culprit. Have a look at Ed's post here. http://www.metalworkingfun.com/showthread.php?tid=4113

I think you're right. Thanks.
According to this article: https://www.hemmings.com/stories/article...e-starfire full sized Olds sheet metal should fit your Starfire thus improving the possibilities that you could find either a donor car or new replacement parts.

Thank you. That was very educational and interesting as well. I found one Starfire in Texas that had fenders but between cost and shipping it would take $500 to get one to NC. I hadn't inquired about floors, I assumed they weren't in much better shape than mine. IDK if I've ever seen a scrapped 88. Now I have to go looking.

Try using Search Tempest as it will search all the Craig's List sites within a radius that you designate.
