Striping my Mini Lathe down to replace the drive belt, decided to take the headstock off to check the internal gears while I was at it, this is what I found.

If at first you don't succeed just drill it again.

All the more reason to tear them down right out of the box and give everything a good cleaning and inspection.

WOW! They could at least plugged the incorrect holes.

Yikes!
