The most vocal critics in life are those that cannot do anything.
But I am sure you will rise above it all.

I'm back in the shop as of today.

Funny that Bill, I don't particularly believe that a grown man needs a sister in law

It is apparent that this project needs to be finished. It is a long way from done. The nose piece is first up. It needs a radius done. I did this without a ball Turner or CNC. I coordinated the X-Y movements by hand. No auto feeds. It took just 1 hour. No filing was needed. Just sanding and polishing.

glad to see this revived, you have done some amazing work on it, I really enjoyed the making of the boring head.
Welcome back Billy, now perhaps I can learn how to build a radial before I start destroying good material, trying to make mine.
Looking and learning.
Brian.
Glad to see this back as well, this was one of my go-to threads when I was lurking before joining here. Very inspirational stuff.
I haven't forgotten this. Guhring drills will be here tomorrow. They are better for the deep drilling (3.00+) needed.

OK Billy G
I just have to ask what is it that makes these drills different, please shine a light on my ignorance.
Brian.
Brian;
They are longer and the flutes clear chips faster. There is no chip build up on the drill if used correctly.
