More displacement equals more torque. Thumbsup

Tom
With a slightly larger bore and the same stroke you may (in my very limited understanding) be able to turn higher RPM. I wish I could see all the pictures. I think I will try my hand at some of this casting. I want to make a small running engine to put in a R/C model. Probably not a scale Chevy 350 or 351 Windsor or anything but something out of the ordinary. I definitely look forward to checking this out thoroughly when I'm home and have unrestricted internet!!

Or as the saying goes, "there is no substitute for cubic inches"

BAH Humbug! Rotfl Boost is definitely a replacement for displacement. Look at the new Ford Eco-boost. I'm not a Ford fan at all but I WANT that truck!! Thumbsup

Don't do it.

PM me and I'll fill you in on my recent experience with Ford products.

Hi
I need to cast another cylinder (not happy with that one)
I have my mill in bits now (Z screw nut is nearly stripped)
To many jobs not enough time

Hi John,

Well that is a bit sad, casting a new one but if you're not happy it's the only way to go.
However it is good for MetalworkingFun we get a casting video, don't we please Worthy

sorry about the Z Axis nut, was just wondering hadn't seen anything posted for a while on it and I really want to see this engine finished, I hope to do a steam engine one day. I want one that I can actually use.

As far as casting goes I fired my furnace up today after about 4 months of the state being under a burn ban, sorry no video. poured a new rammer that I think is going to be way too heavy.
