Making a hot-wire attachment for my CNC mill. I'll post a new thread when I'm done.

I made 3 standoffs for a small audio amplifier that my dad needed to boost the audio on his TV. He had binned the Cable TV in favor of going back to an antennae, and WOW, that antennae works great. High definition video for free rocks!

Anyhow, just took a piece of 3/4" round 6061, turned to 5/8" (15.875mm) and drilled a .177" (4.5mm) hole through, cutoff to .551" (15mm) long, deburred....done. Then drilled three holes in the outer shell, screwed it to the bottom side of his little table next to his chair and reassembled. My son ran a fiberoptic cable from the TV to a FO/analog converter, from there to the amp, to a pair of small speakers. Sounds GREAT though it only works when the DVD player is feeding the TV. Strange, and we couldn't why. More work electronics coming up. :(

I remember using the Longman alloy 8 port head
As well as the BMC cast iron 8 porter
I was involved with the development of the Cosworth SCA engine (on top of a mini gear box using Jack Knight gear sets)
This was the fore runner to the famous BDA series of engines
We used to fit Janspeed turbo conversions on to B series engines giving good reliable power
Any info on your cylinder heads would be great

Well well, what a small world, the only person that i can think of that ran a SCA on a mini gearbox in that part of the world would be Andy Barton ?

Did you cut the keyway with a broach, or did you slot it?
