I found over the years the secret to bailing out of a snowstorm is just do a bit at a time,
I used to plow a 1/4 mile driveway on a tractor with no cab, and at that time i just opened a trail, then maybe the next day pushed the banks back if the weather was good.

Hope you had a happy B-day Bill, despite the task at hand. Our official total in my town was 31", and it sure looked like it. No easy task, but at least my neighborhood all the folks (except one) pitch in and dig each other out.

Got my old "Do-All" belt sander back together, and it works just fine.
Couldn't locate any 3x48 belts locally, so bought a 6x48 and sliced it in half to try it out.
Hopefully i'll be able to get some 3x48 "Zirconia" blue belts, so far the only place i found, you have to buy a pack of 10 @ around $100.00 +
Spent 4 hours replacing the choke knob on my snowmobile. The lever control snapped off and of coarse you had to buy the whole assembly. Tried every angle and method to get at the carbs to remove the cables easily, but no luck. Had to remove the whole windshield dash assembly to get at the upper section of the frame that wraps over the fuel tank which also had to be removed to get enough room to remove the air box on the carbs to get at the cables. Who engineers these things.

After the best part of the day was over I got out for a ride. Made it into two gorgeous lakes though, and never saw another snowmobile in 3 hours.
No pictures but I repaired a busted built in microwave this morning. The microwave expelled a bunch of white smoke which I figured was not a good thing. It's a small built in version that I had to modify quite a bit to fit in the avalible space when it was first installed. It turned out to be a melted blade connector on the transformer which I replaced. I tested the unit on the bench to make sure it would work and not burn up before installing it back into the cabinet. All in all it took about 2 hrs but saved me $300 for a new replacement so well worth it.
