Well this was next to get a good going over and I must admit it is the only tail stock I have seen like this. The quill is hollow and the hand wheel looks like it belongs on a boat!

I had to shim the base and adjust the offset to get it lined up with a freshly turned 60* centre.
I'm actually a little disappointed at this point, as I seem to have lost the pictures of a razor blade being pinched between centres. It was both perpendicular and parallel to the ways.
All I have is this one of the misalignment before I made my adjustments

Once she was all back together, one of her first jobs was to clean the leadscrew! I had to do this in two sections and I did cover the entire lathe before doing so. I was happy that the pitch is 2tpi, as this made cleaning a lot easier.
