Don't worry, I will do a build thread in the mill section.
I am adding a 2 axis DRO to my mill with the option of replacing the seperate quill DRO with a 3rd scale at a later date. I spent the morning making a new splash shield for the x-axis since I wanted to mount the scale at the back of the table and the supplied shield was much wider than it needed to be. I gained close to an inch of travel so it was worth the effort. The kit I purchased is a little short on the brackets and hardware so it will take a few days to get this completed.
I just had to share a quick pic.
