Wait! Am I the ONLY one curious as to what those things DaveH makes are? 17428 Or is everyone just afraid to ask?Rotfl
I know! I know!

Fireplace logs made from dried elephant dung.
Geez, i just presumed he loved "THICK " Burgers , and they were his version of hamburg patties.

I have the Grizzly 2-ton. Selection was driven by the weight (83#.) It was the heaviest one I thought I could get up on the bench!

I assumed they were some sort of burger log. Cut a slice off and you've got a burger. Looks like some good roughage in his recipe. Big Grin

its moist when he collects it Tom!
Mmmm...burger!
Well done Steve, I didn't think any one was going to ask.Worthy

They are 'fire logs' made from 1/3rd paper 2/3rds wood chips. Just normal everyday house hold paper and cardboard left in water for about 12hours then mixed with a paint stirrer in an electric drill. The wood chips are also soaked in water for about 3hrs then the two are just mixed together again with the paint stirrer.

The mixture is poured into a 'mould' which is a 110mm dia. plastic sewer pipe 300mm long. The 3ton arbor press compresses it to about 150mm long expelling the water. That's it, leave them to dry in the sun for 4 days - store for the Winter. Smiley-dancenana Just don't let them get wet Slaphead

And that is my greeny bit for the Planet - recycled paper and wood.

Which leads me to ask this - "what can you fill a barrel full of to make it lighter?"

Glad you asked Steve Thumbsup Rotfl
