I seem to be milling objects that are very irregular shaped, causing clamping issues on the mill table. I ended up a while back making adapter plates that bolt to the table that allow, a much wider option for clamping. The plates are 1/2" thick one of them is 16" by 16" and the other is 12" x 12", the bigger one has 1/2"-13 threaded holes and the smaller one has both 1/2"-13 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes.
Nice! They look like they would be very handy. These will be added to my ever growing list of projects.

I also did a complete plate for a Grizzly G3103 (6" x 26") milling machine, my friend leaves it on the table all of the time, it added 3" in width and 3" in length of the existing table.
Nice work Jack. No T-slots to pick chips out of!
It definitely adds some surface area to the milling table. Great idea!

We call those Tooling Plates. Very nice work. That many holes takes some time and patience.

It's always handy to have a little more depth to a table. That's where I always seem to run out of room.
Great use of that plate,, The extra room is often needed!!
