I finished up the shaping of the clamps for my vise work stop. All I need to do is cut them in half and hope they work.

See image below. The thumb screw tightens the clamp onto the rod. Does that help?

I know these as split cotters. An extremely good clamping device! My first choice whenever possible.

Good eye! They're actually right hand threads but I mirrored the CAD symbol so they ended up looking like left hand threads.
