Thanks, a soaking with Spray 9 and the pressure washer did it wonders, could do with another go after bleeding and playing with the injectors though.
I think a spring loaded tensioner is more common on bikes and snowmobiles where the slack side goes into tension when decelerating. With this arrangement there should never be any back load so I went with a simple threaded adjustment. Its all experimental, we'll see how it goes.

Been making some more head way.
Started building the mechanism for the log stop and sub frame where the blocks and split wood will be handled.

Been building the log stop.
It will be mounted on a sliding shaft, when the log contacts it the shaft will move and open a valve to dump the fluid from the log bunk conveyor and stop it. When the saw comes down a cam will lift the log stop out of the way, In theory anyway.
Thats the longest keyway I've ever cut, the arm will mount to that leave which can be moved up and down the shaft to set the block length, the keyway will locate the lock screws and keep it indexed.

Too bad we don't live close together Greg. I would make up all the hoses you will need for the hydraulic system for you.

Now that would be nice. I've found an online store I can get the ends at a reasonable price, need to line up a press though. Its an hour drive to the city where I can get them made up.

Going to pass on that one Al but planning to make a tubing bender for some 1/2 inch stainless tubing I have. Hope to make most of the lines with it and a short hose at the end.
