We got it, over 9-1/2 feet of it with up to 4-1/2 on the ground for about 6 weeks. Blew up 2 snowblowers of 10HP rating, bought two 14HP to replace them. Meanwhile, you were still seeing your browned lawn. As for the photos, those do remind me of shops I've worked in and some I still visit to this day. I for one am glad we've evolved into a more safety and environmentally-friendly oriented environment. As a result, more of us will survive long enough to be a burden to our children. That's my goal and I've made it clear to them so they can mature with that dark cloud hanging over their heads. RE: Photos Of Old Workshops 100 Years Ago - ieezitin - 05-31-2015 Interesting pictures, in the first batch it seams the time frame was from the early 1900s, I noticed on one of them (they are pouring a cylinder casting) there were florescent lighting strips hanging, I did know they had them then I thought they weren't invented until the 50ies.. nice pictures, thanks for posting. [attachment=10921] RE: Photos Of Old Workshops 100 Years Ago - Roadracer_Al - 05-31-2015 I thought it meant "Oh Help I'm Stuck" RE: Photos Of Old Workshops 100 Years Ago - Kennyv - 05-31-2015 If I may Join in Convo.. spent a while looking at those pics....Yea well id like to send this PIC to our Owner Boss of our Co to maybe change his heart . But its too late he already separated himself ( we used to be close) ... and things may get worse... He's done allot but the prob is those in charge don't care . What I mean by the picture is Id Like to rub that they even had HOODS AND USED PIPING BACK THEN . U have no idea the hell I been through last 16 months caused me to have a breakdown... have way too much to say on this subject and know its not the place However BC this is why im having issues at work .. short story I need to get out don't know what to do.... Been at Co for 15 years last year they acquired a small Mfg Co and equipment that makes PC boards . They stuck in the back of our shop . Yea my house where live eat breathe ... We have 2 old clunkers wave solder machines one a 900Lb tank other 500 pounds they are on preheat all the time... Sux no more air in this shop.... Sorry to vent but Have been getin sick last few months need to get out of Job and feel cornered. At my age cant change career nor / get work at the money im making .. hec and im not make much either . RE: Photos Of Old Workshops 100 Years Ago - Kennyv - 05-31-2015 In short I used to work for a nice small co in private machine shop.... after we purchase those2 machines those days are over.... after 12 months we finally put exhaust fan Yes we do have 2 squirrel cage blowers on the machine but that still don't cut it. After bout 1-1/2 hours the shop is filled with Solder/ flux fume Gets heavy thick in about 3 hours .. ..I get headaches worse after about 2 days in a row ill feel hangover. Please don't even mention OSHA They came out when another employee reported. Yup and he's gone. now ... Of course we passed OSHA tests they tested air quality ya da yada this gets real involved don't get me started... been there done that Long time ago with another Co.... Unless your dumping or really breaking rules you are One guy.... OSHA IS NOT big brother and they do not police. It states that the EMPLOYER is responsible for protecting employee . It mandates safety and regulation . again mandates NOT mandatory. Not policed I learned long ago rules and regs what employer / what employee responsibilies.. Its not worth it anymore for me to fight ... I can leave gracefuly ..Im not into trying to go disability root Not my style in who I am.... Anways Bottom line is we are not out of compliance. Our co we are small potatatoes to OSHA .. Unless MANY folks more than ONE report or they have good reason to believe we are dumping we will pass inspection every year... |
