Sasquatch, thanks! The cabinets you mention are actually my work benches I made. 6' long, about 2' deep, 2"x4" frame work with 3/4" plywood top, and 1/4" plate on the one by the mechanics tool box, and 1/4" hardboard on the other one. Now to be clear, I DID NOT build the drawers, my Dad did, Im not much of a wood worker. I screwed up though. I made drawer slides out of angle iron, I should have bought roller drawer slides, but couldnt afford them at the time.

Well, Ive looked at a bunch in catalogs, and looks like they require 1/2" space for mounting on each side, and I dont think I have that much room.....figures right....lol, have to take measurements to see how much room Im lacking. Would love to install rollers, maybe a few at a time, or on the heavy drawers......just another project. Not sure if Id be able to come up with a way to get that extra room...hmmmmm

Only had a little while Sunday to work in the shop, so I tackled something that was irritating me. Keep in mind Im anal-retentive....... my friend tells me "its a sickness" lol
The "blade guard" was butchered up more than I liked. Yes, it would have worked and kept my fat fingers out of the blade, but I didnt like the way they hacked it up. The pictures are of the offending blade guard, then of the repair of it. I patched some 16 pieces where needed, and welded it up, then smoothed it up with a flap wheel. I will finish sand it by hand, then prime and paint.

No pictures, but Im getting ready to route my cable from motor to switch, and I needed some small "cable clamps" (think conduit clamp looking things). The hardware store had nothing I liked last time I was there, so I made some today. I made a small fixture consisting of a piece of scrap 2"x2"x1/4" angle scrap, with two 3/8" diameter crs pins pressed into it, seperated the width of the material (thin sheet metal, maybe 18ga??) I drilled and reamed a 5/16" hole in the angle, and turned the ends of the pins down to 5/16" for about 1/4" length, I pressed in the first pin, then placed the material up against it and held a 3/8" transfer punch up against the material to get my location. Drilled and reamed the second hole and pressed that pin in.
The clamps are about 5/8" wide, I played around after making the few I need for this project. I made some different types, I will post some pics of them tomorrow, judging I remember.......lol. Oh, I used 3/8" pins because my cord is about 3/8" diameter.
