Bugger! I should have paid closer attention to the title and maybe I wouldn't have missed the obvious Slaphead

Thanks for pointing that out Steve.

No Darren you were not totally wrong. Yes it is a cross feed drive, but I could have attached the motor at the rear of the cross slide at its lead screw, but I have the DRO back there and no room.

I am also going to change the conduit to automotive brake line and move it to the rear.

2 timing pulleys will be here this week. They are 2.7" in diameter and are for a 40 tooth belt. Belt width can be up to .310 diameter. Looks like up and running again very soon.

There is no way to run the conduit from the rear. Too much in the way. I changed the conduit to 3/8 automotive brake line. Secret: Put the wire into the line before you bend.

Bill, i'm a great admirer of your work, but sorry in that picture your cable route just looks plain ugly. Hopefully it's the angle of the picture or something.

I don't like it either. I gotta work on it. It's not in the way of anything but yes it's UGLY. Actually it's U-Gly, that's twice as bad as Ugly.

Mike, how's this. Added two bends and went behind the lead screw. It's not pinned in yet. It's just sitting there. Looks better anyway.

The small on/off switch knob was hidden behind the black box. This one won't be. Thumbsup

Looking much better Bill. A coat of white paint would probably make a big difference as well.

Once this is completed Darren a complete facelift is in order. Since it is no longer a Jet it will be Rustoleum Hammered Gray.
