Thumbsup

I just received an order I placed 3 months ago. They pushed the shipping date back 3 times. Still waiting on another order from a different company too that was placed around the same time. Haven't heard a peep from them. Seems to be the norm now.

I had forgotten how small the chuck is on these mini lathes. Chin

Yes, that was the first thing that got replaced on mine. Glad to see it looks like it arrived in good condition though. Smile

I put a 5" on my 7x10 when I got it. Had to use the little Taig to make the backing plate to fit the huge new lathe.

The box was a bit beat up but nothing got damaged beyond repair. The chip guard got slightly bent and that's it. This one seems to have better fit and finish than my 7x10 had but maybe I'm just not remembering right. I bought that one 17 years ago. 17428

I'm going to get a 5" 4-jaw chuck once LittleMachineShop gets them back in stock.

Ed, did yours come with a steady and follower rest? Back when I bought my lathe they did not. Had to special order them through HF and it cost me a small fortune. Took 6 months to get them from China/Taiwan. About a year later I saw HF selling the lathes with both rests included! Just wondering if they are still doing that. Chin

Back then LMS was just starting to get into mini lathe parts and only had a handful of items to sell. Now of course they offer everything you could ever want for those lathes.

The only accessory that came with this one was a live center. I was expecting a dead center for the spindle & the tailstock. Cheap enough to buy at least.
The 7x10 came with a steady rest and follower rest and it cost me about $330 less than the 7x12.  Yikes

I might have a spare tailstock center. I'll have to check when I get home.
