Hi
Dave
I bought the lathe in pieces
It has been cleaned & the cabinet painted
It had not done very much work before it came to me
This model of Boxford is well sort after AUD with the long bed
Being old school it is imperial (great as far as i am concerned)
I added a T slotted x slide to it and a digital phase converter
Other than the crappy belt drive i am very pleased with it

This is my Proxxon PD 400 Lathe when it first came out of the box:

It is no longer looking so clean after only 3 months. I'm rather frustrated with the chip tray (the paint really "chipped"...). Swaf seems to like to lodge on it's surface and refused to come out.

My Sherline 4410 with 17" bed. This piece has stepper motors added for CNC operation. I've not been using this lathe much since the arrival of the Proxxon lathe.

Hear is my Myford ML10 ,I had always wanted a ML10 and when this came up on a web site I snathed it up as it went very cheap. I bought it last year it had never been used from new and was still in the original grease, I got a 3 Phase motor and controler from Newton Tesla plus some spares just befor myford closed.
it is a vast improvment over my last lathe

Bob,

Nice mixture of SB lathes you have there. You sure do get some good results with those lathes.

Peter,

Very nice find on the Myford. It's a shame they had to shut their doors though.

Might as well add mine to the list. It's a '39 South Bend 11" with a 4' bed.
