Worked on my jig today. Got the basic plate done with soldering notch and 20° slot. I need to buy some 1/4" x 3/4" stock for the key.
Where did you find the toggle clamps you used?

Mine came from McMaster Carr, but any industrial supply will carry them (Reid, MSC,Grainger, etc.)

Did they have the leg on them that contacts the blade, or did you add that?

They come with a screw. You have to add any special fixturing.

Got my jig finished today. Works as advertized. Just happened to have saved a couple of broken blades to practice on. Found out the solder I used isn't high enough in silver content to make a good joint, it broke easily when I was trying to coil the repaired blade to store it.
I know I have some better solder somewhere, just got to find it and try it.

Gave it a try today. Made a jig with two different width slots, figure the wood cutting blades have so much set you'd need to support them back of the teeth.
This was a broken one from the 4 x 6 saw.

Now trying to track down blade stock, not as easy to find in Canukastan
