Moved on today by getting the piston done
drilled the wrist pin hole .

Turned the skirt to shape,

Then milled the clearance for the small end,

Other work done includes main bearing retainers and shaft for the intermediate  timing gear.

Put it together and it turns over nicely.

Now its the cam and valve gear to do.

Excellent progress Brian. Two piece cranks can be scary but it's nice when they run true.

So its on to the cam. the blank was turned between centres so I can return later to machine the ends but for the moment it requires  all of its strength on the mill.

At the mill its remove the 240° from the base circle and we have a camshaft Hooray. Drinks

Cold? I didn't wear a jacket to work today because the temps have soared into the 30's all across the Midwest. Sweat
That won't last.
