Very nice Shawn.

It doesn't appear to have seen much use. Looks like it just sat around collect dust for most of its life.

Thanks gents, if I had to guess I would say it was never used or sparingly at best. Not bad for $5.00 and a couple hours to clean it up.

Nice vise, better price!

I have a Starrett 5" bench vise in my home shop (not my machine shop) and it's got the same or very similar speckled finish blue paint. I think you would have been fine to simply clean off the rust and give the paint a good wipe-down, but hey, whatever floats yer boat. Looks great!

I wasn't going to paint it at all when I first started but the paint was worse than it looked and it gave me a chance to try out the colour. I may paint a lathe flat black this winter so a test run was in order.
