The next part to receive attention is the cam shaft so I parted of to length 4 pieces of stainless and centred the ends.

Then up between centres to rough down to size using my favourite tool .

Then clean up the edges.

And start setting up the mill to form the cam.

I may try to video this opp we will see how it goes.

After the cams come the cam boxes.
First job was to part off the material to length an drill and bore the inside dimensions.

Then make the end caps.

Ready to do the outside.

At this point I decided that a change of tooling may speed up the job so I changed to the fly cutter fitted with a indexable tool from the lathe.

Todays work was to cut the holes for the cam followers.

The next job will be to cut the access holes in the side of the cambox,  cylinder's No's 1 5 4 have them on the right
No's 2 3 on the left looking from the front of the engine.
