Need a source for small plastic bins ... - arvidj - 12-28-2015

In the past I created small plastic bins for loose parts by cutting plastic oil bottles off about 3 - 4 inches from the bottom. Obviously cheap and effective. However now that all of my vehicles have become dealer serviced my supply of bottles ... changing oil myself ... has dried up.

I take this to be a sign that I need to become more formal ... or is that normal? ... and find a supplier for inexpensive plastic bins that are around 2" wide, 4" high and 3" high. Or an assortment of sizes the complement one another to efficiently fit in the drawers of my cabinets.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Arvid

How about these Arvid? They're 2" x 3.25" and 3" tall. Not quite as large as you were looking for but thought I'd throw it out there as an option.

Those look like they would do the job. Hopefully they will have one of the half-price deals that Tom mentioned very soon, though two bits apiece when buying 48 is not all that bad.

They actually did just have another half price sale and I bought a bunch more, but they are so useful that even full price is a deal.

Interesting as I had signed up for their newsletter and special mailings but did not see anything. How often do they have a sale? I don't need them immediately but would like to get some before summer.

Looking back at my emails, it looks like they do a half off sale about every three months. The last time I took advantage of it was October, so they should be due for another one soon.
