Try this Shop Calc software. It's a free download and it includes a change gear calculator that you customize for the gears that you have available.

This program can do the following and more:
- Calculations for chords, arcs, and sectors.
- Calculations for right and obtuse triangles.
- Dovetail calculations for any degree of dovetail
- Bolt circles can be plotted for those of us that do not have CNC or DROs capable of plotting them.
- Calculates thread measurements using the three wire method.
- Dividing head / rotary table calculations, fully customizable for what ever ratio and number plates you have.
- Tap/drill calculations for whatever percentage of thread engagement you want.
- Polygon calculations for any number of sides
- Gear calculations for spur gears, worm gears, and bevel gears
- Full gear train calculator
- Lathe change gear calculator, customizable for whatever gears you happen to have available.
- Standard mathematical calculator

He has three versions available: Windows, Linux 32 bit, and Linux 64 bit. Sorry, I don't see anything about a version for Apple/Mac.

To check it out further or download it go to this page: http://home.scarlet.be/mini-draaien-frezen/engels/program-01.html

If you navigate to Gerard's home page from there he has plans available for a scissors knurling tool, a ball turner, milling table clamps, and a few other things, all very worth checking out.
