3D Printer advice needed - lewisoliver - 04-11-2020

Hello dear friends,

I need to get a decent and affordable 3D printer for home-use. I can't seem to make a decision which one is the best option for me. Could you leave feedback? Thank you!

Cetus 3D for me - works out of the box and all software provided

I'm thinking about jumping on this offer:
https://www.creality3d.shop/products/creality-ender-3-3d-printer-economic-ender-diy-kits-with-resume-printing-function-v-slot-prusa-i3-220x220x250mm?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7o6Q773h6AIVCb7ACh1O3QWdEAYYAyABEgJ8sfD_BwE
$180 seems pretty affordable.

$180 is cost-effective no doubt about that, but you can add a little more to your budget and get a decent one in my opinion.

I bought the Ender 3 V2, and have been very happy with it. Buy the Ender 3, and spend time/effort upgrading it, or buy the V2 and have all the upgrades done. Sure, there are better machines out there, but for the price, I don't think the V2 can be beat. Even the Prusa 3 (one of the most respected units) is almost triple the cost.

The Ender 3 is a great printer. It's what I started with and I'm still using it (with lots of mods, lol). It does a very good job out of the box, and yet, there's many ways to customize it as well as you learn what you're doing. I highly recommend it if you're just starting out.
