Thanx John. My Dad and Grandfather were machinists and the both told me that their job was 60% imagination. I often wondered what that meant, now I know.

OK, assembly time and track check. Pic #1 assembled the rest ard tracking the feet. Look close (last pic) and you will see the perfect track mark of the bearings.

Time to put this to bed (pun intended). We were going to annodize the aluminum green as this was the color decided on for the lathe. It wasn't meant to happen. The day we took it in there was trouble with the green tank On the way home we passed a powder coating facility. We stopped and they were using black. HMMMM black and Brass, wow. The rest is history. Pic #1 parts. Pic #2 on the bed.

Parting thoughts. What would I change. I would thread the caps to the barrel and then thread the barrel to the ring for ease of replacement.

Below is a comparison of the stock steady to the new one.

That's it folks. We have come to the end of the road. Hope you liked it?

Very much to Bill. You did a beautiful job. I'll be using this as a reference when I get around to making one for myself.

Thank you,
