Some New Tools I Bought - EdK - 06-29-2012

The company I work for is doing very well so we got a nice bonus at the end of the fiscal year which was the end of March. We got the bonus check in June. So I thought I would use some of it to purchase some tooling I need. I wanted to get the ER-40 collet set from Tools4Cheap but they are still out of them so I got this stuff instead, which I also needed.

It's always exciting to be able to add to the tool collection.

Great Ed, so you have no 5c collets and some ER-40 collet tools without collets. Seems to be a sad reward for your hard work and nice (?) bonus.Rotfl

Steve,

Yup, kind of pathetic. I have an ER-40 collet chuck for my lathe which I still need to install.

And no collets for it yet. Pretty useless without collets.

I do have a 5C spin indexer but only have a few hex collets, which I got dirt cheap some years ago, and 1 or 2 round collets for it. I've used the spin indexer a few times and it is quite handy so having a full set of round collets for it will be a luxury. I also have these 5C collet blocks so I can finally start using them once I receive the collets.

Dave,

If you're supplying the food then come on over anytime! Or maybe you should wait until I receive the new tooling so I can show them off. Big Grin

Oh sh_t! I didn't see that they were not in stock. Bummer, I guess I will be colletless after all. That is a sad state of affairs. Woe is me! I'm such an idiot. OK. let's not go there. Sadno
