That's a lot of tricking machining, even with the casting. Not sure it's worth it with all of the receivers available on the market. In fact I think the CMP still sells bare receivers.
I wonder where he got the casting?

Receivers can be found at Numrich. I'm not sure where the OP found his in the tutorial.

Don't hold your breath. There are lots of other projects in the cue to knock off before that one will ever get tackled.
