RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Mayhem - 01-16-2015 I want to see the drawings. Ed never doesn't do anything without a drawing RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - stevec - 01-16-2015 I want to see the smashed thumb. RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - EdK - 01-16-2015 Not worthy of a picture. It's only a wussy smashed thumb. But it still hurt like hell when it got smashed. But it still hurt like hell when it got smashed. So it was bad enough to cross the "I must use wine to dull the pain" threshold but not bad enough to cross the "Merits a picture" threshold. Interesting ... RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - dallen - 01-16-2015 I'm still working on this little project, been putting a little finish on the wood in hopes of learning enough to checker the grip area of the butt stock and the forearm, sometime this year. DA RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Highpower - 01-16-2015 Worked on cutting out some bad areas on the side panels of a snow thrower housing. The previous owner ran the thing for 18 years without ever replacing the scraper bar. The left half of the scraper and lower housing were completely ground away from rubbing on pavement, and then started dragging on the side plates resulting in several holes and rusted metal. I still need to cut out some patch panels and weld them in. What sux is they are all different gauges of metal. (16, 18 and 20 gauge.) I would have liked to use my tig machine on these but I've got a bum leg/knee right now and can barely walk, so using a foot pedal is out. Will have to go at it with the mig machine after changing over the wire - yet again.... A blister formed under the nail and the nail got split but I didn't need to drill a hole in it to relieve the pressure so it's only a wussy smash. I know the razzing I'd have to endure if I were to post a picture. Ed RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - EdK - 01-17-2015 All right, bring it on. Ed [attachment=9880] RE: Todays Project - What did you do today? - Mayhem - 01-17-2015 You blouse For future reference, if you (or anyone else) ever gets a subungual haematoma, you should straighten out a paper clip and heat the end up. It doesn't have to be too hot, just enough to burn through the fingernail. Once through, the blood will cool it and you wont do any damage. Using a drill on the other hand is just asking for trouble. When I said "drill" I didn't mean using a drill bit but the act of creating a hole. No way would I take a power drill and aim it at any part of my body. Ed |
