Rob,

That wee o-silly-scope is pretty  Smiley-signs021 .

I checked the specs on that and not bad for $32. It's certainly adequate for a whole lot of stuff.  Thumbsup

Hi Ed ,

I think I payed about £15 from banggood , trace is a bit sketchy but it does have a hold function . All in all its worth the few quid  I spent on it  ,had fun putting it together and that what counts  Big Grin . its been running for 4 hours now and the magic smoke is still confined lol .

Any idea what  duty means ?  info is a bit thin on the ground for this scope   Slaphead

Rob,

Duty cycle is the amount of time the signal is active in one cycle. So with a 20mS square wave for instance, if the time it's high is 10mS and the time it's low is also 10mS then it's a 50% duty cycle. If it's high for 15mS and low for 5mS then it's a 75% duty cycle. Clear as mud.  Big Grin

I enjoyed using the new Hakko FX 888D soldering iron ,it made soldering up the boards easy .
Rob

Looks like fun. I put my first Heathkit together in about 1972.

Kewl! Nicely done Rob. Thumbsup

Now why haven't you knocked up a couple of proper enclosures for them yet? Chin

Nice work Rob. Are you going to use it in finishing off your CNC mill?

Started on the new to me bandsaw. Charlie's been stripping the old paint, and today I fabricated a belt guard. The metal on the face was from an old oil tank, so rusted I had to fill the surface with primer and sand it down to hide some of the pitts.

Clear as Ed  Big Grin

All interesting stuff this electronics lark ,lots to learn  Smiley-think005  . Changed a few settings on the function generator (something else I need to learn how to drive )  to change the duty cycle .

so basically PWM ????   Chin

Hi Mike ,  Smile

I bet your project was a lot more involved and took more skill to build .   Blush

Rotfl  give a bloke a break Willie ,I need to finish the CNC mill first  Big Grin  , maybe build a 3D printer  to make the case for it Chin
