When I was a kid in the UK I use to have an old mini bonnet (hood) for a sled.  It worked wonders.  This was in the late seventies and early eighties when we use to get a lot of snow in the East Anglia's.  I went back for the first time in 1999 and there was virtually no snow that winter.

Well I and my shipmates off the USS Coral Sea arrived for R&R in 1975 shortly after the fall of Saigon and the rescue of the USS Mayaguez in Cambodian controlled waters.  In the Customs House there were cork boards with notes containing phone numbers of females to call.  Let's just say I was more interested in what they may have had to offer.   Drool

Very nice pulley blocks !

I'd be doubtful mixing brass and aluminium in any thing that might get wet though - stick to using them in doors or you'll get electrolytic corrosion.

The collection. Only had enough stainless strap to do two, used aluminum for the rest, was afraid it would crack when I bent it around so bushed and bolted both ends.

Sure is dead around here. I'm beginning to think everyone went to church Sunday and never left!
