Ah, now the penny(s) dropped. Smiley-dancenana
So will this continuously turn slowly, or does it turn and stop for a short time?
And for interest what will you put in the optics box - do you have some special bits Thumbsup
Thanks Billy,

Dave;
A pawl will engage the object box and move it a few degrees and leave it there till the pawl makes a full rotation and engages again. The whole thing is activated by a dropping weight. Less weight - slower movement.

As for the object boxes -- I don't know yet.

It has been a real chore the re-engineer that Kaleidoscope. I am 80% done at this point. The 1st of December is my focal point to finish. Heres the deal -- I will do the build here and on one other Forum. I am shooting for Dec. 15 to start. If you would like to build one along with me I will make the prints available to you. There will be hard copies from my prints. PM me where to send them.

As of yesterday there are 20 pages. This is yesterdays work. #1 Chain track. #2 4X print of 25 pitch chain section. #2 2X print of #25 sprockets (20-18-16-14-and 12 teeth) I want to try different ratios to get the slowest speed. #4 normal size #25 sprockets.

For today -- Rest and watch you guys. I'm tired.

Nice drawings Bill.

I used a friends Autocad program to do the sprockets and chain. That is my first experience with any Cad program. It took some doing but I stuck with it. The chain track is hard drawn.
